By using our services or visiting our website at hobbitwebdesign.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree — no hard feelings, but please don’t use our services.

1. Who We Are

Hobbit Web Design is part of Host Hobbit Ltd, a UK-based company providing web design, development, and website support services.

2. Services We Offer

We provide:

  • Custom web design and development
  • E-commerce site builds
  • WordPress support and maintenance
  • Hosting via our partner service hosthobbit.com

All services are agreed upon through written proposals, quotes, or email confirmation.

3. Client Responsibilities

By working with us, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and timely content and information
  • Respond to emails and requests within reasonable timeframes
  • Pay invoices on time (we’re friendly but not a bank)
  • Maintain backups of your own data, unless we’ve agreed to manage that for you

If you ghost us for more than 30 days, we may put your project on pause or close it altogether. We’ll try to get in touch first — we’re not monsters.

4. Payments

  • A deposit is usually required to start work (typically 25–50%)
  • Final balance is due upon project completion, before going live
  • Hosting fees are billed separately, annually or monthly
  • Overdue invoices may incur a £25 late fee and/or account suspension

5. Intellectual Property

  • You own your website and content once full payment is made.
  • We retain the right to showcase your project in our portfolio (unless you request otherwise).
  • All stock images, fonts, or third-party tools used may be subject to their own licenses.

6. Hosting & Support

If you use our hosting via hosthobbit.com:

  • We do our best to keep your site live, fast, and secure.
  • We can’t promise zero downtime (no host can).
  • You’re responsible for your website content and legal compliance.

Support is available by email or phone — we aim to reply within 1 working day, often much quicker.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
  • You may cancel a service at any time — just let us know in writing.
  • No refunds are given for completed work or unused time in service packages unless agreed.

8. Liability & Disclaimers

We work hard to deliver great results, but:

  • We’re not liable for damages caused by misuse, hacks, or third-party failures.
  • We’re not responsible for any loss of business, profit, or data unless caused by our proven negligence.

Basically — we’ll always act professionally, but the internet can be unpredictable.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Major changes will be announced via email or our website. Continuing to use our services means you accept the updated terms.
